Sparkling Wines

For a winery to produce sparkling wines, some basic requirements should be met. First of all suitable grape varieties need to flourish in the area, those with the organoleptic and analytical characteristics required for the production of sparkling wines.

Equally important is the existence of “tradition” in the region, which ensures that the growers choose the appropriate way of vinification and achieve the best possible results.

Zitsa has the necessary grape varieties - the first being the famous Debina - and long tradition, as well as a region that is directly linked to sparkling wines. All sparkling wines of the estate are produced using the traditional method of Champagne, meaning second fermentation in the bottle.
