Primus Zitsa Barrique

Rich, distinctive and pleasant, with smoky hints

An extremely notable dry white wine with a unique smoked character. It is produced from the grape variety Debina and it ages in French oak barrels for at least six months at our winery in Zitsa.

The aging in oak barrels gives the characteristic aroma and flavour of "smoked" white wine as well as the “sweet” aromas of apple, pear, vanilla and spices which are involved in the composition of the complete full, harmonious and mature flavour.

Colour, Aroma, Taste

Colour: Vivid citrus-yellow colour

Nose: Apple, pear, vanilla and spices on an “oaky” flavour background which results from the aging in oak barrels.

Mouth: It has a full balanced mature palate accompanied with a delicate creamy character and a perfectly harmonized acidity.

VINIFICATION

The “free run” wine Debina remains with its lees for at least 5 months and then it matures in French oak barrels at our Zitsa cellar for at least 6 months in order to acquire the characteristic aroma and palate of “smoked” white wine.
