Semi-Sparkling Wines

Semi Sparkling Greek wine made from the indigenous grape variety Debina by Domaine Glinavos winery

The production of semi-sparkling wines requires the same conditions as those of the sparkling wines category, which means the existence of an appropriate grape variety as well as relevant local tradition. To qualify a wine, as a semi-sparkling wine it must have pressure up to 3 atmospheres, meaning there should be less natural sparkling than a sparkling wine.

The way semi-sparkling wines are produced is different (closed tank method or méthode Charmand - Charmat or cuve close), therefore their cost is less than the sparkling wines. The indigenous grape variety Debina is ideal for semi-sparkling wines, which are produced at our estate always in respect to tradition.
