Syrah is one of the most well known international red grape varieties. It is cultivated in our vineyards in Zitsa, Ioannina, which extend to approximately 2 hectare. The rich colours, the fullness and the intense characteristic aromas of Syrah class it as one of the top red wines. Exuberant with long aftertaste.

Colour, Aroma, Taste

Colour: Intense purple colour.

Nose: Aromas of sweet prune, figs, dates and ripe black fruits such as blackberries, blackcurrants, with hints of cinnamon, vanilla and pepper.

Mouth: Rich, thick and round body. Soft and pleasant tannins, good length with a hint of sweetness at the finish.

VINIFICATION

The international red grape variety Syrah, cultivated in the vineyards of Zitsa is destemmed and vinified in oak vats. The vinification is performed using a classic method that lasts 12 days. The wine is then placed and aged in French oak barrels for approximately 18 months.
