Three Gold Medals for Alexandra Tsiavou and Gountoulas Brothers with our support

World champion and Olympic champion Alexandra Tsiavou and the champions Apostolos and Nick Gountoulas participated on the 15th and 16th of February in the International Coastal Rowing Herring "Challenge Prince Albert II" 2014, held in the Principality of Monaco. We proudly and morally offered our support in sponsoring them for their participation and effort, which gave Greece the three gold medals.

In the 10th "Challenge Prince Albert II" (Call of the Prince Albert II), which was organized by the Yacht Club of Monaco, Alexandra Tsiavou finished first both on Saturday 15/2 at 6 km (single coastal rowing, category SENIOR FEMMES), and on Sunday at 16/2 at 3 km in the same category under very bad weather conditions. The twin brothers Gountoulas also won the first place in the same event which competed on Saturday 15/2 at 6 km (double coastal rowing category SENIORS HOMMES).

Last August, Alexandra Tsiavou, winner of bronze medal at Olympic Games in London 2012, won the gold medal on single coastal rowing at the World Rowing Coastal Championship at Helsingborg, Sweden. In the same event, twins Goudoula won the silver medal on double coastal rowing. With our help and support, “our” athletes managed with all the natural difficulties to achieve the best possible results in their first participation at coastal rowing.

In autumn 2014, the World Coastal Rowing Championship will be held in Thessaloniki and Thermaikos. This is the big challenge for Alexandra, Apostolos and Nikos, where after their participations and winnings in these big athletic events have acquired the necessary experience in order to compete and excel on “Greek sea”. Domaine Glinavos will always stand by the Epirotic athlete Alexandra and the two champions twins’ Goudoulas to continuously place our country on the podium and to fill us with pride.

The National Rowing Championship which is on 27/04/2014 at Schinias Rowing Center is the next challenge for our three rowers.

Congratulations once again and good luck to the races that are about to come.
