6 + 1 International Distinctions for our Winery

Our hard work and dedication are rewarded!

The route we have taken to follow, that of tradition and high quality requires care and love for one’s motherland.  Our faith, over the years, towards producing quality wines and our consistency are rewarded nearly every year by International wine experts.  This year we are already counting a total of another 6 GOLD MEDALS for the excellent quality of our wines from the 15^th International Wine Competition – Thessaloniki and from the 19^th Berliner Wein Trophy as well as one distinction amongst 10 of the best Greek wines which participated in the blind tasting event at the International Wine Fare PROWEIN.
 
FOUR GOLD MEDALS AT THE 15^TH INTERNATIONAL THESSALONIKI WINE COMPETITION
The 15^th International Thessaloniki Wine competition took place between 24^th to 26^th February 2015  during the event 35 of the most renowned Greek and International wine tasters, oenologists, sommelier,  wine journalist and wine distributors sampled and reviewed 594 samples.  From which 157 were distinguished and 82 of these were awarded with a gold medal, four of these belong to our winery.

The four wines which were awarded at this years’ competition were:

• PRIMUS-ZITSA BARRIQUE, 2013 /  GOLD MEDAL (PDO Zitsa)
• CHARDONNAY, 2013 / GOLD MEDAL (P.G.I. Epirus)
• WHITE SOIL, 2013 / GOLD MEDAL (P.G.I. Ioannina)
• WHITE SOIL, 2012 /  GOLD MEDAL (P.G.I.Ioannina) 

TWO GOLD MEDALS IN INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION BERLIN WEIN TROPHY
The 19^th Berliner Wein Trophy took place in Berlin on 5^th to 18^th  February 2015 . We took part for the first time in this particular competition and two of our wines were awarded two GOLD MEDALS.
                  

• PRIMUS ZITSA BARRIQUE, 2013
• POEME BRUT, 2009, which is produced by the traditional method of champagne.

In addition, our wine PRIMUS ZITSA BARRIQUE, 2013 distinguished and stood out among the best 10 Greek wines in blind tasting (TASTED 100% BLIND) held at PROWEIN international wine exhibition in Germany.
